January isn’t exactly everyone’s favorite time of year here in Chicago, but that doesn’t mean that you have stay at home all winter waiting for Spring to arrive. In Chicago, we are pretty good at having fun, and January 2019 is no exception. This month, there are plenty of events going on that will take your mind off the cold. Here are our top three picks:
Chicago Sketch Comedy Fest
January 10-20, 2019
Don’t let winter blues get the best of you! The Chicago Sketch Comedy Fest is happening this month – right on time to help you chase that winter gray away. This is the 18th year of the festival, which says a lot about how much the local community loves this event. Don’t miss your chance to check out more than 100 laugh-out-loud performances, including such familiar faces as Derek Mize and Eric Eikey. Passes are available for single performances, full-day access, or all-festival access.
January 18-19, 2019
Find out everything you need to know about the Cubs’ upcoming season, interact with players, meet the coaches and alumni, and attend a Cubs’ Q&A session! The annual Cubs Convention is packed with activities that will delight any baseball fan, including several interactive exhibits, but for true Cubs fans, this is an absolute must-attend event.
Chicago Restaurant Week
