Chicago Haunted Houses Open in October 2019

The Attic

Located at 4701 North Ashland Avenue, Chicago, IL.

If you’ve lived in Chicago for long, you may have heard this location referred to as the Park After Dark. Back by popular demand, this haunted attraction features a creepy playhouse that has been overrun by spooky children. Entry is $10. The Attic will be open October 25th and 26th from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Learn more here.

The Silence in Harrow House

Located at 1543 W Division Street, Chicago, IL.

This attraction is one-half theater and one-half haunted house. It is held at the Chopin Theater, and this is its second year running. Yes, this performance features puppets, but don’t let that give you a false sense of security. The Silence in Harrow House is a legitimately spooky experience, and it is only recommended for ages 14 and up.

Evil Intentions

Located at 900 Grace Street, Elgin, IL.

Evil Intentions is held in a 55,000 square foot facility in Elgin, featuring ghost tour add-ons and handmade props throughout the attraction. Remaining dates include October 24, 29, 30, and 31. It’s open from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm on those dates (weekday hours), and tickets range $30 for general admission up to $40 for the VIP fast pass.
